Self  Description
Zhao  Yu 's  works  rely  on  images  and  their  inherent  semantics.  On  the  one  hand,  these  images  are  detached  from  their  original  contexts,  and  a  sense  of  dislocation  and  rupture  emerges  between  the  images,  thus  a  decentralized  and  non-linear  narrative  begins  to  appear.  On  the  other  hand,  the  shape  of  the  images  becomes  an  important  factor  in  the  visual  structure  of  the  picture,  as  the  use  of  juxtaposition  and  deconstruction  techniques  breaks  the  single  visual  and  spatial  relationship.  His  visual  practices  and  explorations  are  carried  out  through  the  piling  up  of  paint,  overlapping  images,  and  different  shapes  arranged  in  the  picture,  which  at  the  same  time  narrate  his  observation  and  imagination  of  reality.
